Apart from this the ways of designing the instructions and the questioning skills needed to be worked on by the supervisor. There was a general consensus that there is a need for more experience to teach the content to the students. This was also stated by the supervisor. Overall lesson plan was to ensure that the students gain soft skills to sustain in the environment (Breen and Rottman, 2014). It was designed to understand the communication kinds in Australia and how to interact with the friends amiably without any apprehension. This basic skills is a an important part of the soft skills that the students would need to sustain in the workplace environment.
The content that was developed for the modules was based on spoken conversational situations and important heath benefits that would stem from taking precautions. The lesson plan was mixed with learning of the activities, food and primarily their culture. This is an inception point for the people to use as atool to develop their understanding of the language and the culture. The point of these exercises and the lesson plan was to ease the people into the language learning process of the dialect of Australia. It was not aimed at deconstructing the grammar of the language. It was more attuned towards learning the smaller cultural differences between the elements and to make the people feel like they were part of the culture. This process was the primary objective of the course. These two exercises and the lesson plan that were developed was to help the student gain insights of some of the activities.
The students were encouraged to question and there was dialogue model that was used to teach the language. There was conversational model that was used to teach the language. The areas of strength were there was a great understanding of the issues that the bilingual students face in the real time environment. This helped in gaining empathy. The issue with teaching is that there should be more learnt in the language and there should be more deconstruction of the language. On introspection, it was found that there is a lot more to teaching that should be learnt.
