The aim of this research work is to assess the strengths and weaknesses of Chinese Anti-Corruption in both international context and national level contexts. Emphasis is given to national level pros and cons. The international discussions are based on the concept of bribery and at the national level, corruption related legislation is presented. All countries including China have ratified the international conventions which make it a crime to offer bribes to international government officials. While these international laws have worked well as observed in China’s conduct, what happens internally is however a different story. How well has China implemented anti-corruption laws and how does the country focus on improvement of the efficacy of the laws are something that has to be assessed on a holistic scale. Despite public and global denunciation of acts of corruption and international bribery, little data is available on how the issues are handled internally . Therefore, this research will attempt to understand the strengths and weaknesses of Chinese anti-corruption levels as associated with the international and national context, with more emphasis on data that could be collected from the national context.
