In cases where the employees were not appreciated, the turnover increased by 31%. The companies that focused on creation a positive organizational culture saw an increase in performance and worker productivity by 46%. McLean and Company determined that the employees who were not motivated caused the company more expenses in the bottom line estimation (Mackay, 2010). The performance and retention of the employees determine the sustenance of the company. Lower engagement or motivational factors caused the operating income of the company to become 32.7% lower when compared to the more engaged employees. Hence the motivation is an important factor that determines the sustenance of the company. It can be alluded that the sustenance of the company is determined by the motivation. The issue is determining the right motivational factors.
