The consequences of multiple actions taking place across the world, and affecting Australia have a much larger contribution to the creation of so many moral panics today. The second role is the media and its framing policies, which unknowingly or knowingly manages to convince the audience about their view point which is interpreted in numerous ways, often leading to mixed but hyped reactions towards such events and converting them into moral panic episodes.
The extent of damage of life and property, the hardships of recovering, haphazard violence, and lack of an ethical reason for such events makes more sense to the idea that there are more moral panics today than ever, because harmonising efforts are backpacked and retribution, rights based violence, and a tit for tat attitude even among matured beings is causing such uproar of multiple moral panics. Moral panic has been increasing and is difficult to be associated with a single event or phenomenon, but changing its loyalty much faster often lead by external factors and inability to seek a level ground position among opponents. The asylum seekers surviving the Syria war are being stopped and sent back by the Australian citizens and authorities, for fear of becoming targets of their culture and compromising lifestyle with them.
Violent video games have been linked by some and not by some with the real life violence by adolescents, which are still an unanswered question. The alcohol motivated violent crimes in Australia has reached between 25-50% where alcohol has been detected, and posing a threat to society. Alcohol consumption itself is considered more disturbing now. The ethnic and racial element in violence has been taking massive degree of intensity among large number of youths causing life and property damage. These all incidents make sense about the society’s perception of moral panic, as it threatens the whole community and not just one individual. Multiple factors of influence, especially media framing without reason is considered to be a strong and legitimate reason of the creation of so many moral panics in Australia.
