For example, mostly the low income people dwell in downtown and demonstrate price sensitivity. Thus marketers offer competitive pricing in downtown markets for maximising sales. On the contrary, the upper class dwelling in posher localities is less sensitive to price and more concentrated on product promotion and attributes. Thus marketers offer same products with improved packaging at a premium price with improved advertising. Similarly, the market would be segmented by the marketers in accordance with age group and strategize promotional campaigns directed towards target groups (Sugiyarti, 2015).
