Planning the briefing notes was a major part of the previous task. Planning helped a lot in communication. The Kolb’s model of reflection states that a person has to experience something, reflect and conceptualize. Previous experiences in time management have taught me that planning for a meeting will always help with communication. In planning, I was able to present the key points in a more succinct manner to the meet audience. Time is an always an issue in meetings, and planning assisted me deliver my content succinctly. Secondly, when I planned my briefing notes, I appreciated the notes when others presented counter arguments on some points. For instance, one of my team members presented arguments on why it was necessary for professional development training to incorporate comments from all staff. I was able to point out that it would be better if someone led the others when it came to professional development training. I was able to come up with reasons and communicate them immediately because of my planning.
