Modern society has different value systems. The learning from the week also makes it clear that in different value spheres such as namely, political, economical and public value sphere, the meaning of rationality and its characteristics are different. The main reason is that each of the value spheres has its own organisation. For example, trade unions or parties are under political value system where the meaning of control can be highly bureaucratic whereas the calculability may be following the rules. However, organisations like hospitals can be classified under public value sphere. In this organisation, the control can be centralised or formal whereas the measurement can be based on the performance towards public interest and good. It thus clearly shows even though rationality brings bureaucracy within organisations, the uniqueness of the modern capital society has altered the meaning of it in each value sphere. Thus, work level and productivity in each value sphere differs. The main point is that in a rational society, due to increased control, measurement and the intention to achieve the prediction help in the improvement of productivity of the workforce.
