The patrimonial influence on Flamenco can be seen as the dance is used for the emotional expression wherein a rhythmic stamping takes place through the feet of the Flamenco dancers and the arms are used for the emotive expressions. I found that there is another dancing form in Flamenco which is Pure Flamenco. In this form of dance, the heritage transfered from the gypsy culture of Andalusia is evident. The dancers within the Pure Flamenco can be identified through the frilly and extravagant dresses. The classical form is more like ballet whereas the modern form is technical in which fast and accurate footwork remains in the focus. The new flamenco is one of the most modern form wherein the version of Flamenco is similar to Jazz and the dressing version becomes plainer.
The locals of Spain have changed with time and have become modernized with the approach of performing actions that are right as per individual and not being forced by the societal norms. I identified that the basic propriety and civility norms of Spain are similar to that of Europe. Formal conversations are common within the Spanish setting as the individuals use the formal you for addressing the elderly and in instances when inequality or social distance is present. This was especially the case when people interacted with me. Due to the considerable focus on the food and aesthetics, the etiquettes have become an integral part of the Spanish individuals. Another interesting instance I encountered were related to the table manners. I believe that the table manners of the Spain governs the people that eats together perform the same due to the intimacy. Moreover, there is a custom of offering the food to the outsiders as a way of showcasing the patrimonial and friendly way of living.
Some of the common customers were seen to have engaged in shaking hands to greet upon meeting. Furthermore, it is found that once a relation is formed, the men of the Spain often pats each other’s shoulders as a way of embracement. The custom of house visiting involves bringing gifts to the host of the house. It is essential that the gift are brought for all the members including children if one is aware about the same.
