The protestors want to scrap the controversial contracts that would make the workers available for work with no hours guaranteed. This protest gained momentum when the people started to support the needs of the employees. They considered the activities of McDonald to be detrimental to the public and the company was viewed only considered profits. This was a detriment to the company.
