One of the most important reasons for the students to go and do the study outside of China is the increase in the globalization in the world. This may be largely for the tertiary education which may have an impact on their on the tertiary education impacting the higher education in both source nation and the destination country. It has been observed that there is a dominant flow of the students from different nations in Asia to the other western countries particularly and mainly for the purpose of education. It has been found from an analysis that out of the ten students who may be studying overseas, four of them are primarily Asians (Wang, 2007). Among these, a large number of Asian students are studying in the other nations. As per the statistics, it can be found that the current trend will be much more significant in the coming future (Liu et al., 2007). In the year 2011, there were 339,700 students who went abroad for the purpose of studies. Among these students, there were around 12,800 students who have been sponsored by the Chinese government. In addition to this, around 12,100 students had been sent and paid by different organizations. Other than this, the remaining students are the ones who have went on their own expenses (Chinese Students Abroad – 2011 Figures Released 2012).
These students have been observed to be going primarily to the traditional international education suppliers such as nations like America, England, Canada and Australia. But many students have also visited the nations such as New Zealand, Germany, Singapore and Japan. These nations have recently emerged as the favorite destinations of the students. Because of the financial benefits which are enjoyed by these nations, the Chinese students are addressed well in these nations. In the future, it may also happen that many other countries will enter into this competition of pulling these students.
