Restriction of mobility functions of a person can be termed as person with disability. It includes mental or sensory restrictions too. The disabilities may be caused by an accident, trauma or even genetics. The volume of disability may be temporary nature of permanent nature and it may be total disability or partial disability. The objectives of the policy include that the disabled job applicants should receive fair treatment, promotion of positive work environment, retention of the employees with disability, increase number of people in Department’s work force, training and information dissemination etc.
