Using mobile technology for the purpose of developing a facilitating and learning environment has become a trend in the modern era. Students and the teachers under the present dynamics also communicate through using mobile technologies. The use of such technologies has also enabled people to gain access to online learning material. So, part from the online communication that mobile technologies enable, they also support a variety of different applications that support learning. The aim of the research here is to study the impact of the mobile technologies towards the learning of English language.Though the primary research carried out here suggests that more participants preferred using the mobile technologies over the traditional methods, they do not take it for a more reliable source as compared to the traditional methods.
They still are more inclined towards using the traditional means. The reason is they believe that traditional learning is more accurate for instance using dictionary or textbooks. In terms of writing the research report, some of my concerns were how the report should be formatted. In the first version of the paper, I ended up allotting more words on the research methodology section, but later when doing the discussions I felt I could overrun the word count and then expand on discussions. I have learned that the ideas need to refine so that they can confined to limited words. In order to avoid exceeding the number of words, in future I will try to write a draft or make key notes and structure.
