IELTS score of 6.5
In the case of Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand, the IELTS band score of 6.5 or 6 is required. This is based on the requirement of the course and the level of education that the student wants to enroll. In the case of band score of over 6.5, the University establishes that the student has the ability to speak the newer English language coherently. It means that the student has the ability to write, speak and express the intentions clearly. Even though there is high level of foreign language influence in terms of accent the individual will have the ability to succeed in the newer medium. This is the meaning of the score of 6.5. Simply put the individual can cope in a English speaking country even though they have a different native language. This is the basic reason for conducting this test and considering this test as major criteria (Manara, 2014).
University assumes that by getting this band score, the individual has the ability to be able to succeed in the new environment.
