There have been a large number of changes in the tourism industry in the past few decades. One of the most important reasons which may count to be important for the understanding of the constant development of the tourism industry is the emergence of Internet. Because of the growth of internet, there has been the development of the large number of e-businesses. This has also led to the change in the methods in which the companies have made their money. As a result of the new technology, the customers may be interested more and more in the processes of the company. This is possible with the help of the larger customization and also be the facilities which maybe as a result of the collaboration among different partners. Because of the adoption of ICT, there have been a large number of new opportunities for the tourist companies. These have been more and more customization in the recent times. In addition to this, there has been introduction of the number of new pricing schemes further leading to the changes in the tourism industry. There has been advancement in the form of some of the new reservation systems such as GDS (Global Distribution System) and CRS (Customer Reservation systems). This has also led to the change in the large number of operations in the tourism industry (Buhalis & Law, 2008). In general, the different business models evolve because of the pressure which may be implemented because of the external and the internal forces. This kind of phenomenon may also be applicable for the different business models which are the part of the tourism industry. One of the most profitable sectors in the world is the travel sector. In the present times, it has been facing a fierce competition in the market. Thus, it can be stated that the business models emerged with the view to meet the demands of the business and to ensure the consistent profits and the success for the companies on a consistent basis.
