Cultural tourism is seen to be a more important rend in the present times. People have more expendable income and this enables them to involve themselves in tourism such that they gain more than just entertainment in their visit. They see tourism as a way of learning. There are cultural tourists seen in many important heritage sites (Boniface, 2013). Once again there are demands placed on the people who work in the tourism sector as they have to be knowledgeable on the subjects that the tourists visit. Something more than knowledge might be required, as people will need to be interacted with. A tourist will expect people in the hospitality and tourism industry to interact well with them. They should not only need to act as an all round knowledge guide but will also be part of the tourism process. In this context it is extremely necessary that the person possess good communication skills. The person who is in the tourism industry will also need to think on their feet. They would have to be creative when it comes to understanding and solving issues or concerns for the tourist.
