A recently retired New York Police Department detective who acted as a second source to this event, on the request of some other newspaper watched the video of profiling. He commented that the video was an attempt to smear police and it is branded as an obvious hoax. He also said that if Saleh and Akbar intended to do the same, they have successfully achieved what they wanted. The video according to the Huffington Post renders a tiny view in the bad world of racial profiling. In order to show the authenticity of the clip which could not be verified the news site later updated its piece and the video is being reviewed by the officials of the New York Police Department. Saleh and Akbar had tried and promote the video very much since the video was uploaded to YouTube on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Saleh also wrote on his profile that to bring an end to the racial profiling lets spread the word by sharing this video. To the followers on Twitter Sheikh told that it is against all equal rights the racial profiling goes. He also said that he didn’t expect such a reaction from the public. When some of the newspaper dailies tried to contact Akbar and Saleh they didn’t respond; in the video both the men gave described themselves as Director or Actor. Hence, the issue of racial profiling was brought up by the video on YouTube although the authenticity of the video couldn’t be verifies yet.
