Project management can be considered as a composite activity having a number of dimension. Being highly dependent on the class and category of project, the activities of management can turn out to be extremely complex. Project management is inclusive of a number of disciplines to plan, organize, secure, manage, lead and control the resources for achievement of certain goals and objectives. The key principles followed for conducting the operations of this project are as follows:
Sharing knowledge as a method and in a way to promote management of knowledge throughout the project operations.
Continuously developing and sustaining competence in the Community of Practice.
Applying the description of process in the leadership of change by the empowerment of organization for delivering information in allowing the field for the contribution of agility in the daily operations for public resourcing.
Organizing materials across the standards of peer reviewing and providing the field with the sets of skill way ahead of the agency by the modelled framework.
Maintaining the components of management by having a number of providers of content responsible for knowledge units across the area of expertise and interest.
Coordinating the initiatives and organizations for the purpose of ensuring to eliminate that the efforts are duplicated.
Performance measurement is crucial when considering the evaluation of a project in terms of key milestones set. Certain information on performance is being used for monitoring progress in the achievement of six key objectives of the Environmental Management. Additional refinements and measures are being used for perceiving the requirements of measures. Customer surveys will be conducted for the purpose of measuring the scope at which objectives are accomplished. Some of these include the provision of easily retrievable and useful information, along with the incorporation of useful new tools of technology. This will be on site for both external and internal customer satisfaction. Under the claim of this project, the ANU Environmental Management Plan will be presented as a website in which the Community of Practice will be integrating the practices, programs, policies and people.
